Hello, and welcome to Delight TCG! This is an east asian drawn/animated media TCG...if that's too complicated a concept, think Japanese manga, Chinese and Korean manwha, and animation and video games from any of these countries as well. The TCG is a hybrid - there will be a lot of interaction with games and services on Dreamwidth, but there is also an online automated element found on our site!

Prejoin for Delight will last throughout the month of June with the game officially opening on July 1st. Prejoin members can gain a lot of rewards and special privileges during this opening period...but what all does this entail?

PREJOIN DECK

First of all, Prejoin will truly involve 20 days of games and daily prizes. Every day players can participate in a game or post and receive rewards, special privilege coupons and a card from our prejoin special deck. This deck will only be given out during this month, so it's imperative you join during June so you can snag this deck in its entirety!

These cards will NOT be available through the randomizer - you can only complete the deck through participating in each daily game. Don't fear, though! Even if you join on June 30th, you can reply to and receive your Prejoin cards up until July 1st, so you potentially have a 10 day window to earn these cards outside of the 20 days they will be posted.

The mastery rewards for this deck will be extra special, so you don't want to miss out!

EVENT CARDS

Delight will release monthly event cards based on the milestones it passes through during the TCG. Prejoiners can take all event cards posted during the month of June. However, regular members will only have access to event cards posted after they join the TCG. For every 10 event cards you gather, you can get 10 random cards from the randomizer. There's no special post for this, you just get to steal cards from our general randomizer!

Event cards can be random and up to my whimsy, but there will be a general rhyme and reason for event cards being released. Here are some common, scheduled reasons for event cards:

  • A new month - each month a new event card will be released.
  • #s of members / decks - for every set number of members, a new event card will be released. This will usually be done in batches of 100 for decks and 50 for members.
  • Layout change - pretty simple. We get a new layout, you get a new card!
  • Series of the month - each month a new series will be picked based on player votes. Based on the series that wins, certain games and freebies will revolve around that series. More on that later, though.
  • TCG events - when the TCG has a specific event, or a holiday comes and goes, you'll receive a special event card for that event or holiday.

Here are the first three event cards released for Prejoin that all members are entitled to:

    Prejoin Event Cards: event01, event02, event03

Each event card also comes with a freebie associated with it:

  • Take one choice 01 card from any character deck in honor of our first layout!
  • Feel free to take free character cards that spell out JOIN! These cards do not have to start with that letter, but they must contain them. One card per deck.
  • Take any one card from a deck with a blue border - this can be from a character, puzzle or special deck!

Also, as a special gift to those mods and friends of mods who helped get Delight off the ground, you may take a special event card:

    Prejoin Event Cards: event00

  • Mods and friends of mods who offered deck ideas, images and support can take all the prizes they see here.

    SERVICES

Some services like masteries, level ups and others will have doubled or increased rewards. Look out for this info on the specific service pages.

    PREJOIN RELEASE

Lookout for the Prejoin release with more freebies and the ability to snag cards from prejoin decks. Once you join the TCG during prejoin, you can play all games posted, start trading immediately and use any and all services you can!

The Prejoin release will also have a few more slots than normal releases.

    ENDING NOTES

  • Feel free to continue donating character and special/puzzle decks.
  • Read up on the TCG information and rules - you should know card worth, how to play games and about all services in the TCG.
  • Join and subscribe to this community (the main TCG comm) and do the same for [community profile] delight_trading!
  • Ask any and all questions you have here!

Please feel free to tell your friends about Delight and set up your site pages. If you need help, please message me and I'll try to help! Also, use the following button to link back to the Delight site.

TCGs like Colors have games like Pot of Gold that require TCG players to complete a set number of tasks in order to receive a reward for their completion. At Delight, each player has the opportunity to fulfill a recipe card every month. These tasks are:

  • Player chosen
  • Non-changing
  • Completely optional

On your recipe card will be six tasks that you yourself choose to accomplish based on a predetermined list of tasks presented. Each task has its own value in terms of a reward. For instance, choosing the task "Trade with 10 different players" will receive a different reward than "Trade with 20 different players." Your reward is calculated based on the tasks you chose.

Your recipe card is for you and you alone. This means you must fulfill these tasks and they cannot be changed UNLESS you change your recipe. So if you find that you've picked a task too difficult for you to complete each month, you do have the ability to change your tasks around to more manageable tasks.

You must hold a recipe card for at least two months before you're eligible to change any tasks. This is to prevent someone swapping out tasks for illegitimate or shortcut reasons in order to complete them with little to no effort. This also gives you time to figure out how impossible the tasks are for you to complete.

You don't have to fulfill your tasks every month in order to hold your recipe card.

Tasks available can be found here. New tasks and adjusted tasks will be added at the first of every month. Have an idea for a task? Please PM [personal profile] poland for consideration!

To receive a recipe card, fill out the following form and comment to this thread.

To receive your reward, comment to this post with the following form. You must provide proof for all completed tasks.

  • All completed recipe cards for the month will receive 2 random puzzle, 2 random special, 2 random macarons and a chocolate bar set.
  • You may NOT receive rewards for incomplete recipe cards. Finish all tasks or you won't receive a reward.
  • The time limit for recipe tasks is from the 1st until the end of the month and all tasks should be completed in this time limit. For instance, if you ask for the recipe card on the 25th, you have five days to turn in your recipe card for the month. If you would rather wait until the next month, any and all task progress made from the 25th to the end of the month are lost and you start over on the 1st.

Trading a lot at Delight will get you some great rewards. The more you trade, the better your prizes! Every time you trade, log your trades and keep track of their worth. After you reach certain numbers of trades you can comment with them here to receive your rewards.

  • Number your trades in your logs. Without clearly numbered trades you won't receive your achievement.
  • Your member cards do count for a trade worth 1.
  • All of your trades are based on worth. Regular and member cards are worth 1 while special and puzzle cards are worth 2.
  • If you don't trade cards that are equivilent in worth, count the value of the cards YOU trade and that is your trade count. For instance, if you give someone a special and they gave you a regular, you count 2 and the other person counts 1.
  • Games that require swapping out cards do not count as trades.
  • When claiming more than one achievement, list out all applicable achievements you are applying for.

    Achievements

  • Every 20 trades will net you 2 random regular cards and 1 random puzzle or special card.
  • Every 100 trades you'll receive an additional 1 random regular, 1 random puzzle or special, and 1 random macaron.
  • Every 1000 trades will net you a candy bar set in addition to the above prizes.

    Gift Service

Being charitable is a virtue and this is especially true at Delight.

  • For every 20 gifts you give to players (in terms of card worth) you will receive a prize.
  • This gift must be shared with at least 4 different players. You cannot just give 20 cards to one person and claim a prize.
  • You may only claim this prize once a month.
  • Please show your gift in the form of links in your form.

Your prize for giving at least four players a shared total of 20 cards is 5 random regular, 3 random puzzle, 3 random special and two random macarons. For every 100 cards gifted (so your 5th visit) you will receive a chocolate bar set.

Every month, players have the opportunity to make graphics to add to the TCG. These graphics can either be level banners or link buttons that must follow the following stipulations.

    Level Banners
  • Each level banner set should have 12 banners, depending on the tier you are making graphics for. For now, only Cheesecake Tier banners are being submitted during prejoin.
  • Each banner should always have the level name present, whether it is written numerical or as a word (ie Level One or Level 1).
  • Level banners may have the tier name (ie Cheesecake) or the TCG name (Delight TCG), but this information is not required.
  • Each level banner must be 150 x 100 in pixel size.
  • There is no set or standard template you have to use, but both a bordered and round edged graphic template available for you to use. The bordered template is inspired by Dilly Dally TCG!
  • All images should be official art of some kind. It's suggested they follow a theme, like characters from a series or work from an artist that you like, but this is also not a requirement.
  • You can currently donate two sets of level banners per month.
  • You can currently earn 12 cards per level set, equaling one card per banner. Donating your maximum amount of level sets will also net 2 special cards, 2 puzzle cards and a candy bar set.

    Link Buttons
  • Each link button should feature the name of the TCG. This is all the information required on link buttons.
  • The images used for link buttons should be official.
  • The only size link button accepted at Delight is 100 x 35.
  • You can currently donate 6 link buttons per month.
  • You can currently earn 6 cards per link button set, equaling one card per link button. Donating your maximum amount of link buttons will also net you 1 special card, 1 puzzle card and a random macaron.

There is no set file naming system for Delight graphics, as the system for uploading them doesn't require set names. Simply post your graphics to the appropriate thread on this post. From there, your level banners will be added to the site via a comment link.

To receive rewards for your graphics donations, please fill out the following form.

The current limit for puzzle/special deck donations is 2 of each!

  • Puzzle decks only feature one image. This image will be featured in the deck and the mastery badge.
  • Special decks consist of 20 cards and a mastery badge, all containing images that follow a certain theme. These themes can include series decks for canons without the content for individual decks, themes within a series (like social links or different outfits), artists or mangaka, crossovers, characters voiced by certain seiyuu, or other unique ideas you can think of.

Here are the rules, guidelines and instructions for donating puzzle and special decks decks:

  • Characters must be from anime, manga, or video games of Eastern Asian origin. Manhwa and etc. are acceptable.
  • You may only include official art in your donations.
  • Please refrain from donating images with nudity and sexually explicit connotations.
  • ( SPECIAL ) Because Delight needs at least 21 images to make a deck with, please select 25-35 images to use in your donation. Do not go below 25 or above 40 images.
  • ( SPECIAL ) Do not donate general theme ideas, character types, colours or otherwise vague themes.
  • ( PUZZLE ) Image donations must be reasonable to place in the puzzle deck template. Overly wide or tall images don't make for good puzzles. Donating images that don't work within the puzzle template may be subject to awkward cropping.
  • Use common sense when selecting images in regards to how usable they are. Examples of images that can't be used are: images too zoomed in on a face, gifs or gif stills, images with excessive text or subtitles, images that have been previously edited, images that are too small, etc.
  • Remember spoilers aren't polite, so leave them out of your deck suggestion (both images and deck name) for the sake of the community.
  • If your images aren't satisfactory or cannot be used, deck makers have the right to find substitute images. If your deck requires more than three image substitutions you'll be informed.

Check before you post to make sure your deck is neither on the available or upcoming deck lists. Your comment should be formatted with the following form and the deck type and canon or description in the subject header per the textarea's instructions.

Delight functions on two finds of currency: macarons and chocolate.

  • Blue macarons can purchase 2 random regular cards.
  • Pink macarons can purchase 4 random regular cards.
  • Yellow macarons can purchase 6 random regular cards.
  • Red macarons can purchase 2 random special/puzzle cards.
  • Green macarons can purchase 4 random special/puzzle cards.
  • Purple macarons can purchase 6 random special/puzzle cards.
  • White macarons can purchase 3 random special OR puzzle cards. Please specify which type when purchasing.

Red, green and purple macarons will buy you a mixture of special and puzzle cards determined by chance. You can get 6 special, 2 special and 4 puzzle, 3 puzzle and 3 special, etc. White macarons give you the ability to select the specific type you want. It's a random gamble!

Two of each macaron can be exchanged each week.

  • A red chocolate bar can purchase one choice regular card.
  • A blue chocolate bar can purchase one choice puzzle card.
  • A yellow chocolate bar can purchase one choice special card.

Three of each chocolate bar can be exchanged each week.

Why are there chocolate bar limits?

Without limits, it's possible to easily buy an entire deck. This makes the TCG too easy and prevents trading and player interaction. Instead of blowing all your currency at once, see how many cards you want can be traded for!

Fill out the following form to purchase cards from the shop:
